The 6’6” 27-year-old defender has spent the last two seasons with Bromley, being a regular member of the squad that reached the National League play-offs last season, being voted Players’ Player of the Year and Manager’s Player of the Year, scoring eight goals in 38 games. He also featured in Bromley’s 2022 FA Trophy success.
Omar began his career as an academy player with Ipswich Town before a four year spell at Yeovil Town, where he was captain in the 2018-19 season. He then spent two years with his home town club Colchester United before joining Bromley in August 2021. Omar will officially join us on July 1st following the expiry of his contract with Bromley.
Manager Matt Gray said: ”Omar’s had a great couple of seasons with Bromley and nearly won promotion with them last season. He’s got huge defensive qualities and is another player in the prime of his career, and will be good competition for Ben Goodliffe and Louis John.”
