Manager Matt Gray has added to his squad with the signing of 25 year old winger Rhys Browne. Rhys, whose late father Steve played 84 games for Sutton under Alan Gane’s management in the early 1990s, was a youth player with Norwich and Charlton before joining Aldershot, where he scored the goal that knocked U’s out of the FA Cup in 2015, and subsequently played in the Football League for Grimsby, Yeovil and, last season, Port Vale. He has most recently had a brief spell at Wealdstone, and has represented Antigua & Barbuda on ten occasions.
Matt said: ”Rhys is a player I’ve known for a while, although he joined Aldershot just after I left. I’ve been looking to bring in another winger, so I’m delighted to have been able to sign Rhys and he’ll be an excellent addition to the squad.
Rhys will have the squad number 27, and we welcome him to the club.
