Faye Butler, making her last appearance as a player, received a guard of honour before the game from both sides and went on to take her tally of goals for the club to 85 with one in each half as U’s, with first team manager Matt Gray among the spectators, led 5-0 at half time and continued to pile on the goals after the break. There were hat-tricks for Olivia Watson and Darcy Wells, while Megan Button scored a superb individual goal and Jas Backhurst scored direct from a free kick, with Hayley Halford completing the scoring.

The win lifts Sutton in to the Premier Division next season alongside the likes of Fulham and Millwall, continuing our rapid rise in recent seasons. Congratulations to everyone involved.

The Under 21s beat Tooting Bec 2-0.
