Back at the VBS Community Stadium today, U’s took the lead on 12 minutes when Olivia Watson calmly rounded the opposition goalkeeper outide the box and slotted home. Our lead was short lived when 2 minutes later Zoe McNulty made a good save which unfortunately fell nicely for the Dartford attacker to put into the net.

On the half hour mark it was another great save from Zoe falling kindly for the opposing attacker and U’s found themselves unfortunate to be 2-1 down. Our Women didn’t let their heads drop though and fought back for an equaliser taking us into the break all square, a brace from Olivia Watson in the first half.

Onto the second half and we controlled the match, creating multiple chances for Watson to bag her hat-trick, which wasn’t to be. It was Lily Dent on 64 minutes who put us back ahead, Jasmine Backhurst corner punched clear to Lily who found the net from within the box.

Zoe McNulty looked assured in goal for Sutton, leaving her lines on occasions to tidy up numerous through balls the visitors were trying to play behind the back line.

A flurry of goals in the closing 10 minutes started by Darcy Wells who made it 4-2 on 80 minutes, finding the low far corner from outisde the box. Brinkley then put the game to bed with a powerful drive inside the box making it 5-2. Dartfords 89th minute goal proved to be a mere consolation and Sutton Women celebrated the 3 points at the final whistle.
